Johanna Bond is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) in Rochester, New York.
She is a member of and a media rep for the American Counseling Association, and she currently serves as the secretary of the local Rochester chapter of the New York Mental Health Counselor’s Association. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Swarthmore College and her Master’s degree in mental health counseling at the Warner School of Education, University of Rochester.
Johanna uses cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques, as well as motivational interviewing techniques, mindfulness, narrative therapy techniques, and interpersonal therapy techniques in her approach to counseling. She also has a deep sense of curiosity and appreciation for the stories individuals share with her from their lives, and strong confidence in the healing strength that comes from sharing space and sharing stories. She will work to balance challenging you and supporting you in the counseling process.
